1080 aluminum is a 1000-series aluminum alloy: it is considered commercially pure, and is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. 1080 is the Aluminum Association (AA) designation for this material. In European standards, it will be given as EN AW-1080. Additionally, the EN chemical designation is Al99,8. And the UNS number is A91080.


It originally received its standard designation in 1954.


It can have the highest ductility among the 1000-series alloys in the database.

1080 is industrial pure aluminum, with high plasticity, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, but low strength, heat treatment can not strengthen the machinability is not good; Gas welding, hydrogen welding and contact welding, not easy to braze; Easy to withstand all kinds of pressure processing and extension, bending.
