2A14 Aluminum alloy (LD10)
2A14 Duralumin profile:
What is 2A14 made of? In terms of chemical composition and properties, 2A14 is both duralumin and forged aluminum alloy, which can be strengthened by heat treatment. After solution treatment and artificial aging, it has high strength, good weldability and plasticity, as well as good machinability, but the corrosion resistance is average.

Material name: Aluminum and aluminum alloy extruded bar (≤22mm,H112, T6 state)
Brand: 2 a14
Standard: GB/T 3191-1998
● Features and scope of application:
2A14 belongs to both duralumin and forged aluminum alloy in terms of composition. Compared with 2A50, due to higher copper content, the alloy has higher strength and better thermal strength, but the plasticity in hot state is not as good as 2A50. The alloy has good machinability, good performance in contact welding, spot welding and seam welding, and poor performance in arc welding and gas welding. Heat treatment can be strengthened, with extrusion effect; Corrosion resistance is not high, artificial aging has a tendency to detect corrosion. ● Chemical composition:

● Heat treatment specification:
1) Homogenizing annealing: heating 475 ~ 490℃; Keep warm for 12-14h; Furnace cooling. 2) Complete annealing: heating 350 ~ 400℃; The insulation time is 30 ~ 120min depending on the effective thickness of the material. At the speed of 30 ~ 50℃/h, the furnace is cooled to 300℃, and then air cooled. 3) Rapid annealing: heating 350 ~ 460℃; Holding time 30-120min; Air cooling. 4) Quenching and aging: quenching 495 ~ 505℃, water cooling; Natural aging 96h at room temperature.
