Cold and hot working - Conventional methods can be used for cold working aluminium / aluminum 7175 alloy allowing generous bend radii as with aluminium / aluminum 7075 alloy. Hot working is possible as well.Machinability – of aluminium / aluminum 7175 alloy is easily possible. This alloy can be heat treated. It can also be hardened by cold working or heat treatment.
Forging and forming - Aluminium / aluminum 7175 alloy can be forged, and can also be formed by hand or die forging as it is a forging alloy.
Aging - Aluminium / aluminum 7175 alloy is an age-hardenable alloy.
Applications
Aluminium / aluminum 7175 alloy can be used in machined fittings of the aircraft industry.
