The steel is of moderate price and easy processing.

After proper heat treatment, certain toughness, plasticity and wear resistance can be obtained. Normalizing can promote the spheroidization of microstructure and improve the cutting performance of the blank with hardness less than 160hbs.

The hardenability of the steel is higher than that of 45 steel, which is suitable for high frequency quenching, flame quenching and other surface hardening treatment.

Compared with 40Cr steel, this steel has higher strength, wear resistance and hardenability. The critical quenchable diameter in oil is 12 ~ 45mm, and the critical quenchable diameter in water is 26 ~ 71mm, but the toughness is lower.

Medium carbon modulated steel, cold heading die steel. The steel is affordable and easy to process. After proper heat treatment, certain toughness, plasticity and wear resistance can be obtained. Normalizing can promote the spheroidization of microstructure and improve the machinability of blank with hardness less than 160HBS. The steel has the best comprehensive mechanical properties when tempered at 550~570℃. The hardenability of the steel is higher than 45 steel, suitable for high frequency quenching, flame quenching and other surface hardening treatment

Similar to 40Cr steel, it is mainly used to manufacture more important parts, and can also be used for bearing capacity and wear resistance requirements of various parts, such as gear, sleeve, shaft, pin and so on, after high-frequency surface quenching. [1]

Hot point

(approximate value) Acm=780℃

Normalizing specification temperature 850~870℃, hardness 179~229HBS.

Temperature 740~760℃, holding time 4~6h, and then at a cooling rate of 5~10℃/h, cooling to ≤600℃, out of the air cooling. Hardness ≤217HBS before treatment, hardness ≤163HBS after softening.

(670±10) ℃×2h, with the furnace heating up, (710±10) ℃×2h, with the furnace cooling down, (670±10) ℃×2h, with the furnace heating up, (710±10) ℃×2h, and then with the furnace cooling down, (670±10) ℃×2h, with the furnace heating up, (710±10) ℃×2h, (710±10) ℃×2h, with the furnace heating up, (710±10) ℃×2h, With the furnace cooling, a total of 3 cycles, and then cooling to 550℃, out of the air cooling. The hardness after treatment is 153HBS.
