Harrdox 400 is an abrasion resistant steel with a nominal hardness of 400HBW. Typical applications are components and structures subject to wear. It is mainly used at the discretion of the purchaser for wear-exposed structures, e.g. excavating, mining and earth-moving machinery, truck dump bodies, conveying, crushing and pulverizing equipment, scrap presses and paving molds. The processing and application techniques as a whole are of fundamental importance for the successful use of the products fabricated of this steel.
Hardox 400 is available in thicknesses of 3 – 130 mm. Hardox 400 is available in widths up to 3350 mm and lengths up to 14630 mm. For widths ≤1600 mm and thicknesses between 3 - 8 mm preferred widths are 1500 or 1600 mm. ANSON supplies Hardox plates 400 is a wear-resistant steel grade. Irrespective of its quality and hardness, weldability and formability of this evaluation is great.
